Enquiries and quotations
Submitting an enquiry does not create a booking or a contract.
We will confirm the proposed work, price or pricing basis, payment arrangements and anticipated timescale before you commit.
An estimate based on photographs or a description is provisional. Inspection may reveal additional preparation, repairs or other work. We will explain any proposed changes and obtain your approval before carrying out additional chargeable work.
Consumer quotations will show the total payable, including VAT and any agreed delivery charges. Business quotations may show VAT separately.
A contract is formed when you accept our written quotation and we confirm acceptance of your booking. These terms and any project-specific conditions will be supplied before acceptance.
-
Scope of work
The quotation or agreed specification defines the work included.
Dismantling, reassembly, replacement parts, structural repairs, mechanical work, transport and other services are included only where expressly agreed.
Please tell us about previous repairs, coatings, contamination, leaks, damage or other conditions that could affect preparation or finishing.
You must own the item or have the owner’s permission to commission the work.
-
Design and approval
For custom projects, we will agree the relevant design, colours, finish and layout before the associated work begins.
Please check any lettering, names, numbers, logos and other details submitted for approval.
Digital mock-ups and photographs are guides. Screens, lighting, surface shape and materials can affect the appearance of colours and finishes.
Where an exact colour match is important, we will discuss the method and any known limitations before proceeding. Existing paint may have changed through age, weathering or previous repairs.
We remain responsible for carrying out the agreed work with reasonable care and skill. Design approval does not remove that responsibility.
-
Changes and unexpected conditions
If you request changes after approval, we will explain any effect on the price and completion date before proceeding.
Preparation can expose concealed corrosion, damage, incompatible coatings or previous repairs. If these affect the agreed work, we will contact you to discuss the options.
If we cannot agree a revised scope, we will discuss ending the project and account fairly for authorised work already completed, subject to your statutory rights.
-
Timescales
We will agree an anticipated completion date or timescale.
Unless expressly agreed as a firm deadline, a completion date is an estimate. We will notify you of material delays and discuss a revised date.
If no completion time is agreed, we will complete the work within a reasonable time. Nothing in these terms removes your rights concerning delay or failure to complete the agreed work.
-
Deposits and payment
Any deposit or staged payment will be stated in the quotation before you accept it. Payments made towards the project are credited against the total price.
Unless another arrangement is agreed in writing, the balance is payable on collection or before dispatch.
Business customers may have separately agreed payment terms, which will be shown on their quotation or invoice.
A deposit is not automatically non-refundable. Refunds and any permitted deductions depend on the circumstances and the cancellation provisions below.
-
Consumer cancellation rights
If you are a consumer and enter into a qualifying service contract remotely or away from our premises, you normally have 14 days after the contract is made to cancel without giving a reason.
To cancel, send us a clear statement by email or post using the contact details above before the cancellation period expires. You may use the optional form below.
We will refund payments due following cancellation within 14 days of being informed, using the original payment method unless you agree otherwise.
If you expressly request an early start, you may have to pay a proportionate amount for services supplied before cancellation, provided we gave you the required information.
Your cancellation right ends once the service is fully performed only if you expressly requested the early start and acknowledged this consequence.
An exception can apply to goods we supply that are made to your specifications or clearly personalised. This does not automatically exempt refinishing your existing item or remove rights concerning faulty goods or services.
-
Other cancellations
If you cancel when no statutory cooling-off right applies, contact us as soon as possible.
Any cancellation charge will reflect reasonable, demonstrable losses directly resulting from the cancellation, taking account of costs saved and reasonable steps to reduce our losses.
We will explain any deduction from money already paid and refund the remaining balance. We will not charge twice for the same loss.
If we cancel a project, we will explain why and refund payments for work or goods not supplied. Your other legal rights remain unaffected.
-
Delivery, collection and customer property
Delivery and collection arrangements, packaging requirements and any transport charges must be agreed in advance.
Please remove personal belongings and unrelated accessories before handing over a vehicle or item, unless we have agreed otherwise.
We will take reasonable care of property entrusted to us and remain responsible where loss or damage results from our failure to meet our legal obligations.
Please inspect the finished work on collection or delivery and tell us promptly about any concerns. Inspection or collection does not waive your statutory rights.
If collection is delayed, contact us to agree arrangements. Any storage charge must be separately agreed in advance.
-
Aftercare
Follow the care instructions supplied with the finished work, including any advice about curing, cleaning, polishing, fuel exposure or reassembly.
Paint and protective coatings can be damaged by impact, abrasion, unsuitable chemicals, heat or misuse. They do not make an item indestructible or restore its structural integrity.
Damage caused by later use is distinct from a defect in our work. We will assess reported problems on their individual circumstances.
-
Quality and complaints
We will carry out services with reasonable care and skill and in accordance with the agreed specification.
If you believe there is a problem, contact us with the project details, a description and photographs where possible. We will investigate and discuss an appropriate resolution.
Where consumer law entitles you to repeat performance, a price reduction or another remedy, these terms do not restrict that entitlement.
There is no requirement to report a defect within an artificially short period to preserve your statutory rights.
-
Artwork and photographs
If you supply artwork, logos or other protected material, you must have permission for its intended use.
Ownership and any licence for original artwork we create will be agreed as part of the project where relevant. Commissioning paintwork does not itself transfer all copyright in separately created artwork.
Any use of project photographs for our portfolio or publicity will be discussed with you. Confidentiality requirements should be raised before work begins.
-
Responsibility
We are responsible for losses for which the law makes us liable.
Nothing in these terms excludes or limits liability for death or personal injury caused by negligence, fraud, fraudulent misrepresentation, or any liability that cannot lawfully be excluded or limited.
Consumer statutory rights remain unaffected.
Any additional terms for commercial projects, including confidentiality, specifications or liability arrangements, must be expressly agreed before the contract is formed.

Applicable law and changes
These terms are governed by the law of England and Wales. Consumers retain any mandatory protections and rights to bring proceedings in their home jurisdiction that apply by law.
We may update these terms for future bookings. The version supplied when your contract is agreed applies to that project unless we mutually agree a change.
